Avril Lavigne shows off her flare for edgy fashion in black leather sweatpants during lunch with gal pals at celebrity hotspot Nobu in Malibu

She is poised to release her seventh studio album this year.
And with the new recordings having already been completed, Avril Lavigne decided to step out for lunch with a couple of her gal pals at Nobu restaurant in Malibu on Saturday.
The Complicated singer, 36, was all smiles when she arrived at the celebrity hotspot in a casual but edgy, all-black ensemble.

Lavigne met up with her friends and made the short walk into upscale eatery in leather sweatpants that were pulled up to her mid-calf.
She also donned a cropped t-shirt, matching sneakers and a beanie cap over her trademark blonde tresses that flowed to the bottom of her back.
For an added touch, the so-called Pop Punk Queen wore red-frame sunglasses as she carried a big black leather purse.
During the afternoon excursion, she took to her Instagram Stories and shared several photos and short video clips taken inside and outside the restaurant.
There’s are also a couple of images of the three ladies posing on some rock formations on the beach afterwards, as the sun began to give way to the evening

The Sk8er Boi star reportedly worked on her new album with producers John Feldmann and Mod Sun, who is also her beau, as well as Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly.
Wanting to stick to bangers only, Lavigne has revealed that there won’t be any ballads among the new batch of songs.
The lead single is expected to drop in the summer months.

The new album, which will be a return to her pop punk roots, will be Lavigne’s first since 2019’s Head Above Water.
Rumors started swirling about a potential romance brewing between Lavigne and Sun (born Derek Ryan Smith) in January, beginning with their collaboration on the song Flames for his new album, Internet Killed The Rockstar.
Lavigne’s debut album, Let’s Go (2002), is the best-selling album of the 21st century by a Canadian artist.
Her sophomore release, Under My Skin (2004), would go on to become her first album to top the Billboard 200 chart in the U.S, selling over 10 million copies.
