The Reddit user clarified they weren’t offended by Kyle being swept to the front of the queue and actually thought it was funny.

‘People seem to be thinking I’m genuinely upset by this. I’m not,’ they said.

‘The optics of the huge line and him pulling up in his Bentley were just too funny not to share. I think if this encourages his listeners to go get the jab, I’m all for it.

‘He didn’t physically push in. He was escorted by media. Not genuinely upset. Just found it entertaining during my boring wait.’

In a statement to Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday evening, Kyle’s management team confirmed he hadn’t physically pushed in.

But the radio presenter acknowledged on Wednesday he had received special treatment from hospital staff because of his celebrity status.

He told listeners: ‘I probably cut in front of about 70 people. But that is what happens when you are white, old, fat, male and a celebrity. Privilege still exists.’

Kyle may also have been allowed to skip the queue because he was promoting the Covid-19 vaccine on social media. He was not paid to do this.
