From The Bachelorette to the gutter: Georgia Love posts VILE tweet about Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson’s pregnancy announcement

She often complains about trolls on social media, claiming she gets harassed with death threats and inappropriate sexual photos.

So you’d think former Bachelorette Georgia Love would take her own advice when it comes to insulting strangers on the Internet.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case, as the Seven News journalist, 32, couldn’t resist firing off a hurtful tweet about a Married At First Sight couple on Monday.

Responding to Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson’s pregnancy announcement, she posted a close-up photo of Bryce from his photo shoot with New Idea, and wrote: ‘Siri, show me the face of “I’ve taken it too far”.’

Her tweet plays into false rumours circulating online that Bryce and Melissa’s relationship is a ‘showmance’ and their pregnancy is a publicity stunt – claims the couple have strenuously denied.

Georgia faced swift backlash for her Twitter post, with one user responding: ‘Fancy being a gratuitous attention-seeking ex-reality show wannabe, and trolling another ex-reality show wannabe.’

Georgia often faces pushback for her tone-deaf tweets.

In December, she was criticised for her humble-brag post about buying a house with fiancé Lee Elliott and ‘launching two businesses… during a global pandemic’.

The ensuring Twitter storm saw her temporarily quit the platform, citing alleged ‘death threats’ and ‘trolling’.
