CLOT's Silk-Equipped Air Jordan 1 Mid Appears in Vivid Red Silk
CLOT, Nike and Jordan Brand have blessed the sneaker world with a smorgasbord of silk-swathed kicks in recent months, thanks to several Air Force 1s and an Air Jordan 1 Mid “Fearless.” Now, Edison Chen‘s brand is returning to silken stylings once again with yet another mid-cut Air Jordan 1, dressed entirely in a vivid red shade.
In true CLOT style this bright-hued design is adorned with a copious dose of traditional Chinese patterns, making for a look that’s simultaneously vibrant and elegant. Embroidered midfoot Swooshes are thickly stitched towards the quarter but become gradually more faint towards the rear, eventually tapering away into near nothingness on the heel. More black accents appear on the tongue, coin deubre-equipped throat and sockliner. A gold “Fearless” hangtag, white midsole and red outsole provide finishing touches.
Although the look may be familiar and what’s underneath is still a mystery, release procedures are vastly different. There will be no online drop for this Air Jordan 1 Mid: it’s releasing via a free 3-day raffle at Juice Store LA‘s CNY Night Market, accompanied by a collector’s box set edition of the Air Force 1 “Rose Gold Silk.” Interested parties must enter the raffle in person at the Night Market before Saturday, January 25 at 7PM PST. Winners will be drawn at 7:30 PM PST, 30 minutes after the raffle closes. Full details are listed in Juice LA’s Instagram post below.
