Kanye West reminisces about Kobe Bryant as he brings Sunday Service to Miami for Super Bowl Sunday

Football is all that’s on the mind of most Americans as another Super Bowl Sunday kicks off.

But for Kanye West, it’s still a day of worship, which means it’s time for his Sunday Service.

He reminisced about Kobe Bryant during his sermon Sunday as he brought the popular religious event to Miami.

The 42-year-old and his Sunday Service Choir launched into his 2015 single All Day, which originally featured Theophilus London, Allan Kingdom and Paul McCartney.

He told the audience: ‘I asked [Kobe] what he thought about this song, and his only response was “theme music.”‘

Bryant died the previous Sunday at 41 years old, as he and daughter Gianna, 13, were among nine killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, where West and his family live.

The night of the crash, the rapper held a post-Grammys midnight Sunday Service, paying tribute to Bryant.

The Roc Nation mogul revealed that he was asked to bring West and Rihanna for a performance of their collab Run This Town.

He told The New York Times: ‘Of course I would have. That is not how you go about it, telling someone that they’re going to do the halftime show contingent on who they bring. I said forget it. It was a principle thing.’
